With sturdy construction nearly worthy of a board book, this ought to withstand plenty of repeat abuse, which it will get, thanks to Schwarz’s gregarious dialogue-only text and her adorably simple pen-and-inks. The bold, simple illustrations stand out against the double-spread blank background and minimal setting details.
